Thanksgiving
Wednesday evening the 25th, we celebrated Andrea's 28th birthday here at our house with her family and friends Janine and Liam and their baby boy Liam. Liam and Andrea's baby son Nash are the same age (4 hours apart) so we all enjoyed watching them crawl around and play.
Thanksgiving day we went to Dave and Linda Paynes for dinner, then we all watched the Longhorns beat the Aggies. George and I actually went downtown to watch the Aggie parade go up Congress Ave.
Susan, Matt and Benjamin arrived Saturday and left Monday afternoon. The time went by so fast it seems like they were hardly here. We had fun with Benjamin and he seemed to enjoy playing with his cousin Nash.
We had lunch Sunday with Matt's friend and Fraternity Brother, Ryan and his family, then a stroll through the Domain (a high end shopping center in North Austin). Monday Matt had to take a trip to Freebirds for a Giant steak Buritto. He got hooked on them while living in College Station during his Masters Program.

It was fun to take pictures at the Capital. It is very difficult to get 10 month old babies to pose for any length of time. Susan has my greatest admiration for being able to do this.
Nash and Liam were born 4 hours apart and their Mom's are friends and both teach elementary school. They used to be at the same school but this year Liam's Mom is at Menchacca elementary in far south Austin. Liam's grandma takes care of him during the day, we try to get together at least once a week so the boys can learn to play together.
Texas won again on Sat. so it's watch out Aggies on Thanksgiving night. Matt, Susan and Benjamin will be in Tyler for Thanksgiving then travel to Austin Sat and leave from Austin Monday. We can't wait to see them and get the two cousins together.
George and I played golf today and I actually got the same score on the front 9. Forty five is good for me, not so great for George. I am catching up---watch out.

Go Texas beat Kansas.
George missed opening weekend hunting due to a real bad cold. He must have been ill to stay home in bed. This past weekend was our 33rd wedding anniversary so Aunt Jean and I drove to Fredericksburg to have dinner with George. He managed to get 2 deer on Sunday and today he is going back out. We will bring backstrap to Tyler at Christmas. mmmmmmmgood..
Sunday I joined Andrea, Nash, Austin and Andrea's friends for a baby photo shoot at the capital. The babies would crawl off every time we posed them for a Capital in the background shot. Liam and Nash are 4 hours apart and will be BF's since their mom's are. Liam's Grandparents retired and moved here from FL to babysit. Mamie and I get together once a week so the babies can play. I will post a picture soon.

Sunday 10/26/08
Good week.
George and I took Nash to the Deer Lease on Thursday, he was unimpressed and didn't know what to make of the cattle. Friday we went to Andrea's Schools carnival then back to her house with Liam, Liam and Janine for Tex-Mex take out from Serrano's. The babies are noticing each other and crawl over to one another just to try and touch those eyes. Andrea and Austin shot a wedding at St Catherine's, then a reception at a place down on 6th street.
UT won another game....next week at TX TECH will be interesting. Today we played golf and I beat George by 2 strokes on the front 9 a first.....he beat ,me on the back and won by 10 strokes. A good game for me. We picked up Jean and went to Home Slice Pizza late afternoon. And that's all she wrote...for now.
